Using Filters in Photoshop: Try something different!
Instructions:
1) Take a photo of an interesting object.
2)Using the "filters" in Photoshop, change the way this object looks.
3) Create an 8 image contact sheet showing the filters you tried but weren't your favorite. Create a 4 image contact sheet with your favorite filters.
Talk with a neighbor about your four favorite filtered photos and how each of you plans to use filters in your next photographs.

Andrew Goldsworthy is famous for his photographs of unique arrangements of natural elements.
Watch the video and notice how he uses natural objects to emphasize pattern, color, line, and focal point in the unique ways he arranges natural objects. What to do: 1)Open a word document and describe what natural objects you will use to create artwork like Andrew Goldsworthy. Explain what elements and principles of design will you use in your arrangement? What inspired this arrangement? What is your plan? Talk to a neighbor about your plan. Write at least one idea your neighbor shared with you. Get your plan approved by your teacher. 2)Gather natural objects and arrange them in a unique way. Consider shape, color, pattern and background while you are planning your own nature photo. Take at least 10 photos of your best ideas. Select 1 of your best to print. What to turn in: One 8.5 x 11 photo One filled out document from the down load file. Place both items in a folder. Name it with: period number-your name- nature |
